Learn how to upload high-quality photos and videos to Facebook on Android and iOS. By default, Facebook disables the option to upload photos and videos in their original size to reduce data usage.
If this option is disabled, all videos and photos you uploaded to Facebook will be automatically converted from its original size to a compensated lower resolution with smaller size.
The following options however, does not guarantee that you can uploaded your videos and photos in their original size. But Facebook did mention it will be in high-definition.

Upload high-quality photos and videos to Facebook
See the following step by step instruction below:
On Android device
- Open Facebook app.
- Select Options (the three vertical lines).
- Under Help and Settings, select App Settings.
- Under General, toggle the switch for Upload photo in HD and Upload videos in HD.
On iOS device
- Open Facebook app.
- Select Options (the three vertical lines).
- Select Settings.
- Select Account Settings.
- Select Videos and Photos.
- Under Video Setting, toggle the switch for Upload HD.
- Under Photo Setting, toggle the switch for Upload HD.
Done. Now every time you upload a photo or video from your phone to Facebook, it will be uploaded in HD or high-definition quality.
