How to set up IPTV in VLC media player to watch live TV
Follow the step-by-step instructions below to add M3U playlist URL or M3U file (downloaded file) to VLC media player to watch live TV.
First of all, you need to download and install VLC media player if you haven’t done so. Then, continue with the following steps:
1. Add M3U Playlist URL to VLC media player
- Launch VLC media player.
- Select Media.
- Select Open Network Stream.
- In Enter a network URL, add your M3U URL.
- Select Play or press Enter.
- To open the playlist, select View.
- Select Playlist.
- Right-click on any channel and press Play to start watching live.
If you have downloaded the M3U playlist file, add the downloaded file to VLC media player with the following steps.
2. Add M3U Playlist file to VLC media player
- Launch VLC media player.
- Select Media.
- Select Open File.
- Select the downloaded M3U file and select Open.
- To open the playlist, select View.
- Select Playlist.
- Right-click on any channel and press Play to start watching live.
Done, now you can watch live TV channels or IPTV using VLC media player.
