How to disable Avira Free Antivirus popups with BgPKiller
One of the easy methods I found is to use BgPKilller, a small application that run in the background and the goal is to kill popup. It uses very little memory, as low as 1.0 MB in average. It will tell you every time it kills any popups or ads.
The step is simple, just go to their website, download and install the app:
- Go to BgPKiller application download page here.
- Find the latest version of the application and click on the Download button to download the setup file.
- When the download completed, click Open to start the installation process.
- Follow the instructions given until the installation complete.
Note: You will notice a new icon in the System Tray, when you hover your mouse, it will display BGPKiller (running) followed by the number of total kills (number of popups or ads has been killed since the application start running).
Let the application running for a few cycles and see whether it really kills the popups and ads from Avira Free Antivirus. The obvious time is when you turn ON your computer, that is the time when the popups and ads being displayed.
