Steps to create Lock desktop shortcut in Windows 10

  1. Right-click anywhere on the desktop.
  2. Select New.
  3. Select Shortcut.
  4. Create Shortcut window will appear.
  5. Enter or copy and paste the following command into Type The Location Of The Item box.
    • Rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation
  6. Click Next button.
  7. Enter the shortcut name in Type A Name For This Shortcut.
  8. Click Finish button and the shortcut will appear on your desktop.

Whenever you want to lock your Windows 10 computer, double-click this desktop shortcut icon.
