It’s been a while since I posted a DIY article for Astro box. Since recently Astro has come out with their new boxes called Ultra Box and Ulti Box, here I am again sharing the New Installation setup guide for both Astro Ultra Box and Ulti Box.

If you just upgraded your Astro box to a new Ultra Box or Ulti Box, I’d say this is something you should know. In case there is something happens, here’s the step-by-step guide for both Astro Ultra Box and Ulti Box New Installation.

These steps are usually performed by Astro crew during the installation. However, as I mentioned earlier, in case you perform a factory reset, you may need to do it yourself.

If you’re familiar with the New Installation for the old Astro box, I believe you’ll be able to perform the following steps. They are quite easy even for the first-timer.

Astro Ultra box New Installation setup guide

The following is the instruction to perform Astro Ultra Box or Ulti Box New Installation setup:

1. Please wait while your box initializes.
2. Select your language preferences and press OK.
3. In Set Video Resolution screen, select Auto, select Next, and press OK.
4. In Video Resolution Test screen, if you’re able to read the text properly, select Confirm and press OK. Otherwise, select Cancel to revert to go to previous settings.
5. In Select STB mode screen, select Satellite and press OK.
6. In Ethernet Connection Detected, select Wi-Fi setup to connect Ultra box to your network and press OK. Otherwise, select Skip to skip to the next settings.
7. In Tuner Settings screen, select your installation type for the LNB Type:
   • for Ultra Box, select dCSS,
   • for Ulti Box, select Universal.
8. Select Next and press OK to confirm your selection.
9. In Transponder Settings screen, select 01 M3B VL – 10732 as the Entry Point.
10. Select Next and press OK to confirm your selection.
11. Signal reading results for Tuner 1 screen will be displayed accordingly.
12. Press right to navigate to Tuner 2.
13. Signal reading results screen for Tuner 2 will be displayed.
14. Select Finish and press OK to complete the setup.

Done. Now you have completed the new installation for your Astro Ultra Box or Ulti Box.
