The following are the step by step instruction to enable the unknown source and install the add-on. Starting from Kodi 17, you’ll need to enable the unknown source option to be able to install any add-on from 3rd party.

How to install add-on in Kodi 17 Krypton

Step 1: Enable Unknown Sources

If this is your first time to install the add-on, you’ll need to enable the unknown source.

1. Open Kodi 17 Krypton.
2. At Home screen.
3. Select Settings (gear icon).
4. Select System.
5. Select Add-ons.
6. Slide the toggle next to Unknown sources.
7. A warning message box will appear, click Yes to continue.

Step 2: Install Add-on

Continue with the following step by step to install the add-on.

1. Go back to Home screen.
2. Select Settings (gear icon).
3. Select File manager.
4. Select Add source.
5. Select <None>.
6. Enter the URL of the add-on including the http:// and click OK.
7. In Enter a name for this media source, give it a name and click OK.
8. Go back to Home screen.
9. Select Add-ons.
10. Select Package installation (open box icon).
11. Select Install from zip file.
12. Select the media source you just added.
13. Select the zip file and click OK.
14. Wait for the Add-on enabled notification.
15. Select Install from repository.
16. Select the repository you just installed.
17. Select Video/Music/Game/Program/Picture add-ons.
18. Select the add-on you’d like to install and click Install.
19. Wait for the Add-on installed notification.

Done. The add-on is successfully installed in your Kodi 17 Krypton.
