Action-comedy movies to watch this weekend – Mid Jan 25

·

I was thinking about some good movies to watch, and I found a bunch of action-comedy films that I think you’d really enjoy. These movies have the perfect mix of crazy action, hilarious moments, and great characters. Check these out:

1. The Man from Toronto (2022)

Imagine booking an Airbnb and accidentally getting mistaken for a deadly assassin. That’s exactly what happens to Kevin Hart’s character, and now he has to work with the real hitman (Woody Harrelson) to survive. It’s full of action, funny misunderstandings, and wild situations.

2. Free Guy (2021)

What if an NPC in a video game suddenly became self-aware and decided to be the hero? Ryan Reynolds plays a super lovable character who breaks free from his programmed life and takes on the bad guys in a game world. It’s funny, packed with action, and has some cool twists.

3. The Hitman’s Bodyguard (2017)

Ryan Reynolds is a bodyguard who’s forced to protect his worst enemy—an unpredictable, foul-mouthed hitman played by Samuel L. Jackson. These two bicker non-stop while dodging bullets, car chases, and explosions. Their chemistry is hilarious, and the action is top-tier.

4. Central Intelligence (2016)

Kevin Hart plays a regular office worker who reconnects with an old high school friend—except now, his friend (Dwayne Johnson) is a huge, muscle-bound CIA agent. He gets dragged into a ridiculous spy mission full of gunfights, double-crosses, and hilarious moments.

5. Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)

Think James Bond, but with way more humor and crazier action. A street-smart kid gets recruited into a secret spy agency and has to stop a billionaire villain (Samuel L. Jackson) from launching a deadly global plan. The fight scenes are next-level stylish!

6. Rush Hour (1998)

Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker make the ultimate buddy-cop duo. One’s a serious martial arts expert, the other’s a loud-mouthed detective. Together, they chase down kidnappers, fight bad guys, and deliver some of the funniest dialogue ever. Classic!

7. Deadpool (2016)

If you want action and comedy with a ton of sarcasm, this is the movie. Ryan Reynolds plays an ex-soldier turned mercenary who gets superpowers but is completely unfiltered and hilarious. It’s got crazy action, fourth-wall-breaking jokes, and lots of over-the-top moments.

Let me know which one sounds good to you!
