Learn how to change DNS server for TM ADSL Riger DB120-WL. ADSL Riger DBXXX-WL series is one of TM’s popular modem and being used widely in Malaysia. If you are one of the users, here is how you can change the DNS server.
Basically, there are lots of DNS server available around you. The most popular and widely used is Google Public DNS. In this tutorial, you can set the DNS server to use Google Public DNS or you can find other DNS Servers near to you by using Namebench first and then use it here.
Note: This tutorial is based on TP-Link modem and should be similar to TM Streamyx wireless ADSL modem model Riger DB120-WL. Please let me know in the comment if anything different. If you are using modem model Innacomm W3400V6, read this post.
How to change DNS server for TM ADSL Riger DB120-WL
Step 1: Turn on your computer and TM Streamyx modem.
Step 2: Connect your computer to the wireless network or use LAN cable.
Step 3: Open any internet browser and enter the following URL exactly:

Step 4: On the login page, key in your login detail. Below is the default:
- ID: tmadmin
- Password: Adm@XXXX
- XXXX is the last 4 digit of your modem MAC id, you can find it on the sticker at the bottom of your modem and usually written on the router box by the service technician

Step 5: Once done, click “Login”.
Step 6: At the top menu, click “Interface Setup”.
Step 7: Under “Interface Setup” sub-menu, click “LAN”.
Step 8: Under “DHCP” sub-menu, look for “DNS”.
Step 9: For “DNS Relay” option, select “Use User Discovered DNS Server Only”.
Step 10: Key-in your preferred DNS server in the “Primary DNS server” and “Secondary DNS server”.
Step 11: Click “Save” to save the changes.
Step 12: Reboot your modem for the new configurations to take effect.
Done! Now your ADSL Riger DB120-WL modem is using the new DNS server.
