Change DNS server for TM ADSL Riger DB120-WL

Learn how to change DNS server for TM ADSL Riger DB120-WL. ADSL Riger DBXXX-WL series is one of TM’s popular modem and being used widely in Malaysia. If you are one of the users, here is how you can change the DNS server.

Basically, there are lots of DNS server available around you. The most popular and widely used is Google Public DNS. In this tutorial, you can set the DNS server to use Google Public DNS or you can find other DNS Servers near to you by using Namebench first and then use it here.

Note: This tutorial is based on TP-Link modem and should be similar to TM Streamyx wireless ADSL modem model Riger DB120-WL. Please let me know in the comment if anything different. If you are using modem model Innacomm W3400V6, read this post.

How to change DNS server for TM ADSL Riger DB120-WL

  1.  Turn on your computer and TM Streamyx modem.
  2. Connect your computer to the wireless network or use LAN cable.
  3. Open any internet browser and enter the following URL EXACTLY:
  4. On the login page, key in your login detail. Below is the default:
    • ID: tmadmin
    • Password: Adm@XXXX
      • XXXX is the last 4 digit of your modem MAC id, you can find it on the sticker at the bottom of your modem and usually written on the router box by the service technician
    • or if fail, you can try “tmadmin” without the ” “ for both username and password
  5. Once done, click Login.
  6. At the top menu, select Interface Setup.
  7. Under Interface Setup sub-menu, select LAN.
  8. Under DHCP sub-menu, look for DNS.
  9. For DNS Relay option, select Use User Discovered DNS Server Only.
  10. Key-in your preferred DNS server in the Primary DNS server and Secondary DNS server.
    1. If you preferred Google Public DNS, set the DNS server per following:
      • DNS 1:
      • DNS 2:
    2. If you preferred Open DNS, set the DNS server per following:
      • DNS 1:
      • DNS 2:
  11. Click Save to save the changes.
  12. Reboot your modem for the new configurations to take effect.

Done! Now your ADSL Riger DB120-WL modem is using the new DNS server.
