How to set up Google Public DNS in Windows 10

Use the following step by step to change the default DNS server to Google Public DNS server in Windows 10.

  1. Click Start.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Network & Internet.
  4. Select Status.
  5. Select Network and Sharing Center.
  6. Select Change adapter settings.
  7. Select the active network.
  8. Select View status of this connection.
  9. Select Properties.
  10. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4).
  11. Select Properties.
  12. Click to check Use the following DNS server addresses.
  13. Enter Google Public DNS server as follows:
    • Preferred DNS server:
    • Alternate DSN server:
  14. Click OK to save the changes.

Done. You have successfully setup Google Public DNS in your Windows 10 computer.
