Learn how to hide your Streamyx Wifi network name (SSID) to prevent it from being seen by strangers. Once hidden, you need to manually connect using the network name.
Note: This guide is for TM Streamyx wireless G ADSL 2+ modem model Innacomm W3400V6. Different model may have a slightly different configuration page.
You must have your Streamyx modem login information. If you haven’t change them, default are as follows:
- Username/ID: tmadmin
- Password: Adm@XXXX (XXXX is the last 4 digit of your modem MAC address)
Your computer must be connected to the modem by cable or wireless (not necessary to have an internet connection)
Hide Streamyx Wifi name
In the following steps, you’ll be able to change your Wifi name and password. Let’s start.
- Open any internet browser.
- Go to
- Enter your login information and click Login.
- Select Wireless.
- Select Basic.
- Find Hide Access Point and tick the box beside it.
- Click Apply/Save to save the changes.
Done. You’ve successfully hide your Streamyx Wifi network name.
Note: Every time you connect new device to the hidden Wifi, please enter the network name manually.
This method is very useful, you can prevent stranger to find and connect to your network.
One thing you should remember when doing this is the network name. Because, every time you want to connect new device to the network, you’ll need to enter the network name manually.
