Secure P1 wifi network

Network security enhancement via P1

Want to avoid other people from connecting to your P1 Wifi network? Learn how to keep your P1 Wifi network secure by changing your default network name (SSID) and password (WEP).

Strangers can easily connect and use your P1 network. This is because P1 provide you with the default Wifi name and password which can be found at the bottom of your modem during the initial setup.

This default password is really easy to crack with some commands because it uses the WEP authentication which is the less secure mode.

So, in this post, I will show you how to change your P1 Wifi name and password. We will use WPA2-PSK instead the default WEP authentication mode. Follow below steps.

How to change P1 Wifi network name

Step 1: Connect your 4G home modem to your computer.

Step 2: Open any internet browser and enter this URL: http://10.1.1.254. Then, key in Username: admin, and Password: admin123 (this is the default username and password).
